How to Use BlackBerry's Video Calling on Android & iOS

BlackBerry announced in April that they included a beta of their video messaging service in BBM for Android and BBM for iOS for users in the United States and Canada. Well, it's finally spread to other parts of the world. Latin America, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region all have access to BBM video calls.

Video chat is only in beta at the moment, and is only available for users running Android 4.4 and higher, or iOS 8 and higher. BlackBerry says they're testing it now, but are planning to roll it out in full to everyone in the near future as a non-beta feature.

Once you've installed the latest update, all you have to do to get the feature working is to start a call like normal. BBM will now ask you whether you want to make a voice call or try out a video chat instead. The recipient will also have to have video chat capabilities in BBM, or you won't see the option.

Video messaging will work across most platforms (Android, iOS, BlackBerry 10), and there's no signup or registration required.
