Data restrictions suck, but Google wants to make it suck just a little less. Rolling out is the latest update to their mobile Chrome browser, Chrome 32.
According to Google, "Chrome's data compression and bandwidth management can reduce data usage by up to 50% while browsing the web on Chrome for Android and iOS."
What this means is less bandwidth usage, and less of a hit on your monthly data caps. To activate the feature, simply go to Settings -> Bandwidth management -> Reduce data usage. Flip the toggle to "On" and you're off and running.

While the data compression is the big update, Chrome is sporting other new tricks. A big one is Application Shortcuts.

Data compression also activates Safe Browsing for Chrome, helping to protect you from malicious webpages that may try to steal your info. Google aims to make phishing, drive-by malware, and harmful downloads a thing of the past, and this latest update is a big step toward that goal.
