Forum Thread: Rooted Android Devices

I'm quite new to Rooting and I'm planning on rooting my device, I'm aware that you have to give applications permissions and so forth but I was wondering is there anyway one could limit an applications permissions? Example an application requires your personal messages, call logs and location, I mean who doesn't find that creepy? I'd just like to run the application with disabling those specific permissions and just give it WiFi permissions, if that makes any sense whatsoever. Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

There is a way to do that with a rooted device, but just know that while these permissions seem intrusive, they may be core to the app that you're using.

That being said, some apps may require these permissions and have no business needing them.

What device do you have?
